Stone Bench in an Empty Park

This is the only anthology I've done that was illustrated with black-and-white photographs, which were taken specifically for these haiku. I collected these poems about the sights and sounds of the city because I'd run into lots of urban kids who thought there was nothing poetic in the city. I wanted them to know that there were poetic things in the city if they paid attention and started noticing more about their surroundings. One of the reasons this collection is special is the photograph of the Twin Towers.
