Postcard Poems

Another milestone for me: my first hardcover book. The idea for this book came in the mail. One of my younger brothers--always and still something of a train freak--sent me a postcard with a poem about a steam engine typed on it. I slid that card under the glass top of my desk, where it stayed until I got the message: how about a collection of short poems? Indeed.

The Buzz . . .

"This YASD Best Book nominee is for all school and public library YA poetry collections."
Voice of Youth Advocates

"... variously witty, wise, tender sad, or thoughtful. A wide rage of poets . . . [and] the emotional overtones expressed with skillful exactitude testify to the fine taste of the anthologist."
